Taking someone’s concept and putting them on paper or a website is a challenge unlike any other. Every client has a different perception. To craft the ideas merely from someones words or basic drawings can be far more complicated than coming up with your own thoughts from scratch.

This is however where the reward of designing for others comes in. The ability to take their thoughts and perfectly reconstruct them is a great challenge, but when you finally get those words, “That’s exactly what I wanted”, or “Perfect”. Nothing compares to that.

This simple moment makes up for all those hours beating your head on the wall at midnight.

Taking someones thoughts and constructing them is an amazing gift to own.

Process

There are two ways to approach graphic design, one from an advertising point of view, the other as an artist. Both of these points of views work, but only one accomplishes the two objectives of graphic design, message, and beauty.
